I have been working on my Echo quilt for about 6th months now. It is a really easy pattern but I made it hard on myself by working with yardage, fat quarters and jelly rolls! This made the math really complicated to figure out how many blocks of each color I could make. I think I finally figured out I have 34 white bordered blocks and 46 patterned bordered blocks left to peice. So I am half way done piecing blocks!! Well sort of, that isn't counting the 23 blocks I have started and need to finish... :)
My goal is to concentrate on my cutting for now so I can do some assemble line style sewing later.
Here is my progress thus far!
From this...

To this!...

Windham Fabric Lotta Jansdotter's Echo
Robert Kaufman Kona white jelly rolls
A few coordinating solids
How do you think I should quilt this pattern? Let me know in the comments!

this is a great quilt pattern to show off the lovely echo fabrics! although i have to say that it does leave me wishing that kleenex boxes were designed by lotta jansdotter... if you're looking for a simple quilting design, i'd go with fairly narrowly spaced (but not necessarily evenly spaced) vertical lines. if you wanted something a little more complicated, some sort of repeating pattern in all the white space would be interesting!
ReplyDeleteyou're not the first person to compare it to tissue boxes haha! So true. She should make box designs! Thanks for the quilty tips!
