Good Afternoon!  I have a new bag to share with you!  This is a 'quilt as you go' (qayg) version of a Jane Market Bag

This is by far the most favorite thing I have made.  The straps and lining are Essex linen and the rest of the fabrics are from my scraps and stash.  I love the Nancy Drew print simply because she is a nail biter just like me!

Brass tacks - I altered the pattern in a few ways.  I used interfacing in the straps and made them longer.  For the exterior, I followed the instructions on size and assembly but used qayg panels and put a small pock on the inside.  Also, I didn't sew the sides to form a boxy look.  I liked the wide open bag look.  If I were to make one again I would add a zipper closure or a magnetic snap.  I keep a piece of cardboard in the bottom for more structure too. I will eventually cover that in fabric.  Its nice to have this set in the bag as opposed to sewn in so its removable for washing.

Its large enough to carry my lunch box, wallet, kindle and a few diet cokes to work.  Basically its the coolest briefcase ever.
